Those who tuned into the October Xbox Party Showcase were treated to exclusive gameplay footage for the highly anticipated Still Wakes the Deep.

The latest footage gave audiences an in-depth look at the eerie environment that players will be exploring in the narrative horror title from Sumo Digital’s Brighton-based studio The Chinese Room, the developer behind Dear Esther, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and Little Orpheus – as well as the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.

In Still Wakes the Deep, players take on the role of an off-shore oil rig worker, fighting for his life through a vicious storm, perilous surroundings, and the dark, freezing North Sea waters. All lines of communication have been severed. All exits are gone. All that remains is to face the unknowable horror that’s come aboard.
